The picture shows that the most popular formats are 120, 80 and 60, which are released only by Intel.
It is also noticed that the drives with capacity of 120 / 128 are particularly popular among users of alternative operating systems (including OS X).

Apple company has changed the behavior of the MacBooks in the clamshell closed with an external display in Mac OS X Lion, it was a special modification, which can be judged by the documentation: support.apple.com/kb/ht3131

This change completely canceled the ability to set the sleeping mode in the MacBook by closing its clamshell, if an external display is connected. They left no choice for the user.

Recently, on the forums of Apple has appeared the solution that returns the behavior as in Snow Leopard.

We should do the following in a terminal:

sudo nvram boot-args="iog=0x0"

Somewhere was mentioned that Firefox 8 will support the context menus, which were written in HTML5 language. If we update Firefox to version 8 beta, so we can see how these menus will look like. We can get some additional information from an article "Firefox 8 for developers" and follow its hyperlinks get to the corresponding demo page

image

It is not difficult to see the context menu of the site that is located just above the usual context menu browser and separated by a horizontal separator from it. Context menu of the site may contain individual items and entire submenus; as well it can be decorated with colored icons.

The concept of contact lens: 1 - LED microchip, 2 – power receiver and control circuitry, 3 - antenna, 4 – and interconnects, 5 - transparent polymer, 6 - system to project virtual images perceivable by the eye retina

It becomes closer the day when we can read the mail and watch movies with the closed eyes. A group of the U.S. and Finland scientists has conducted successful testing of the world's first contact lens with built-in display and power receiver on the rabbits. According to researchers, the rabbits did not have any side effects and the eyesight was not damaged.

The testing on mammals is a one of the steps of costly testing process of new drugs. The first version of the contact lenses contain only one illuminating LED-pixel, but display resolution will gradually increase, and in a couple of decades certainly will get to the HD level.

Once I have watched a movie about the computer hackers who have received an access to control the power system, water system and the road navigation of some city (or country). As far as I remember, the attackers nearly destroyed the control system of the entire country, because they had all the controls. The movie was shown at the beginning of 2000, so all that was interpreted as a science fiction. But the ideas that were shown in the movie gradually begin to be embodied by the real criminals. Thus, recently it became known that the unknown people managed to take control of U.S. public water system by remotely accessing one of the water treatment facilities and controlled the equipment.

While Google is shutting down Nexus One and some of its services like Knol, the smartphone vendors think what features can be added to the Ice Cream Sandwich updates for the devices and (is it worth to make those updates at all?), XDA-Developers adapted ICS to the first Google Phone - HTC Dream. It came out ok for such an old device.

Here are the device’s features for those who have forgotten. Apparently, the developers keep on doing a quite workable integration of this first alpha.

It is logical to assume that after the spectacular success of the first Orange San Francisco should appear the next version of this smartphone. Now this happened: the second version of San Francisco has already been certified by Bluetooth. The smartphone will continue to make ZTE, and most likely this handset will be called ZTE Crescent outside the United Kingdom. Besides one photograph and the information that there will be Bluetooth as well became available the innovative features of the future smartphone.

The French are preparing to release a little book, which is attached to a paper balloon, and the iPad application allows flying on this balloon, controlling the direction and force of the wind.

It is evident that they are actively concerned with new interacting ways with technology. In addition to the toy they have “Rorschach cards”, “(i)Pirates” with less traditional augmented reality and the source coded “The Night of the Living Dead Pixels”.
