Facebook is converting the public pages in a new format

Starting March 30, 2012 all public Facebook pages will be converted to a new design. By the way, now the page administrators can preview and see how it will look like, as well as try out some new features.
Now the information is presented in the form of chronicles in the new design. Also, the new functions and the features include:

Cover page

In the new design, the administrators of public pages can place the main header image (the cover), which is much larger than a profile photo. Moreover, the cover should be at least 399 pixels wide. Facebook states that the ideal size of cover is 851x315 pixels. In order to add the cover, you need to press the "Add a cover".

Selecting and binding messages

Now the most important messages can be selected from other messages. In order to select the message you have to press the button marked with a little star. At the same time, the message width will be increased in order to achieve greater clarity. To bind the message at the top of the page, you need to click on the button with the pencil and select the appropriate menu item.

Enhanced admin panel

In the admin panel were added the important tools and statistics. Here you can see the notification, messages, statistics, and notes, "I like it".

Tracking the activities of friends

Now when a user visits a page, he/she will be able to see an interaction of his/her friends with the page in its upper part.

All the most important things are at the top

At the top of the page near the administrator description you can place a variety of information and objects (events, notes, videos, and applications). Photos will remain in first place, but all other positions could be changed in order to make the top of the most important things.
