jQuery Mobile 1.0
Mobile version has come a long way: starting from the first alpha on October 15th, 2010 through the five alpha versions, three betas and three release candidates. Now there is the final release, which was tested on all mobile platforms. A variety of platforms has been a major goal that was set by the developers in order that websites work on all smartphones, tablets and readers without an exception.
The new framework is well accepted by the developers of mobile applications and the websites. For the testing time of alpha and beta were published eight books on jQuery Mobile, there appeared many plugins, extensions, frameworks and other tools, not to mention countless articles and manuals. The developers say that they were stunned by such public interest in jQuery Mobile. The examples of websites and applications made with jQuery Mobile can be viewed in the catalog on jqmgallery.com.
Simultaneously, with the release of jQuery Mobile 1.0 was introduced a new tool ThemeRoller for Mobile for the visual design of mobile site / application without knowledge of CSS.
The final gold release came just days after the third release candidate (changelog). The performance was improved for the complex pages and the various platforms at least 30-50% in comparison with RC2.
