Surely, you paid attention to the computer using which the young John Connor hacked PIN-code to the ATM and the access code to the lab in Terminator 2. This computer was the Atari Portfolio. When the movie was showing in theaters in 1991, it seemed beyond the fiction. I was lucky to find it, and I want to share with you its features.

Conclusion

According to the measurements, it consumes 45 mA during work time, respectively, a set of the batteries (2700 mA*h) will last for 60 hours (!)
The modern laptops are far behind this performance. For comparison:
Ultrabook on Intel i7 has 10 hours of work
Atari Portfolio has 60 hours of work.
There are still some amateur websites with software for Portfolio – just do not be scared of old-fashioned design.
I bought it at the auction for 3,500 rubles, and I guess somewhere a museum of old computers was closed down, it was one of the last items.
It still can be used, such as RS232 terminal or for some technical programs. The interface itself is not slow and it works very fast. You can work comfortably with a keyboard of that size.
