After I have read another smartphone review that started with words "definite leader in its screen size of 4.6 inches", I could not resist writing this post.
I am totally confused, watching the current trend of new products:

• Huge screen!!!
• More than 320 dots per inch!!!
• Quad-core processor!!!
• Separate GPU!!!
• 12000000-pixel camera!!!
• 4G/LTE/WiFi n-standard!!!
• GPS / A-GPS / NFC / Bluetooth!!!
• Only for 600 euros!!!

Where are innovations in the batteries?

You do not have to be a technology genius to understand what would be the consumption battery increase caused by these innovations. Especially, considering the last date of the breakthrough in the battery technology, such as use of lithium-ion, and so on.

For example, I have Nokia Lumia 800. Before I go to bed I have learned to turn on the modes, such as "Airplane" and "Battery Saving", and my operating system is no longer relevant, so I am not in a rush to write software for it. The important thing is that a year ago this phone was worth twice as much, so I just donated 300 euros for Nokia or the retailer.

It is always nice to buy something new, but I try not rushing into it. I just cannot understand why after I paid $ 600 for a device, I have to worry about daily care for the phone, thinking what innovation or soft I have to install in order to keep the battery consumption, at a time when companies’ stocks are growing very fast.

Now Google has a lot of different articles that provide from 7 to 20 battery saving tips for “iPhone 5 battery life” topic.

Perhaps, the breakthrough in the batteries will happen soon and manufacturers are ready for it. But we have to wait for marketing specialists, when they tell engineers to work on the battery breakthrough. Well, I am going to wait for this real innovation, and how about you?
