These days it is almost impossible to find a clear and understandable description. Honestly, this is my first article (hopefully not the last one). I will give you an example of top 5 3D printed models.
The main part of the list is taken from the official blog post of Stratasys Ltd, (in the past it was Objet. Two companies merged into one), but this is not the point. The purpose of my post to show the capabilities of three-dimensional printing.

5. 3D printed corset by Neri Oxman

Produced by Architect and MIT Professor Neri Oxman, this 3D printed Corset was just one of 18 Prototypes of the Human Body, and was part of her exhibit entitled ‘Imaginary Beings, Mythologies of the Not Yet’ at the Centre Pompidou in Paris earlier this year. This model, created on the Objet Connex500 features a highly creative spider-wed like design. Here’s our live blog video from the same event.

4. Tiny 3D printed car

STL file of this model we received from David Sun, he is the Head of the Engineering Department of IRIS International Inc. In the letter, he proposed to break his record: To print this car in a size less than 3 cm in length.

The most important condition was to keep the doors and wheels functioning.

The challenge was accepted and we printed the model in size of 1.5 cm.
The wheels are spinning and the doors are opening, their axles have a diameter of 0.9 mm. The wall thickness is 0.14 mm!

Even our engineers were shocked a little.

3. 3D printed wrench

In contrast to the very small car, we have printed the biggest wrench.

Its length is 120 cm.

2. 3D printed ship in a bottle

"How does a ship with sails get into the bottle?" This question I have been asking myself since the moment I first saw a ship in a bottle ... Since then it passed more than 20 years, I know at least two ways to do this, and recently I have discovered the third one:

1. 3D printed light bulbs

Disney Research Department has been working on the development of new interactive devices. To create new models quickly, the engineers use 3D printing. This is the only way that allows making prototypes, which consist of several materials, including optics.

However, this is the winner!

It is really hard to believe that this model was printed a whole, and not assembled in parts ...
